There’s way too many variables to consider to give you a flat-out answer. The cost of a video is predicated on a range of factors. These factors may include how complex or how simple the concept is, VFX elements desired, locations, days needed to shoot, Talent Acquisition, total run time of video, and other factors. In our line of work vision dictates budget. In other words, in most cases, we need to know exactly what we are shooting first in order to have an idea of how much it’ll cost.
Here are some rough industry figures with skill level in mind:
Semi-pro level: $0 - $5,000
Videos priced within this range are typically your smaller projects with a smaller crew. Semi-pro means the experience or skillset of the video production team tends to range from beginner, intermediate, and semi-professional. In some cases professional.
Professional Level: $10,000 - $100,000
This the next step up from semi-pro. You are dealing with solid professionals, above average equipment, and a larger crew. There’s a high level of talent with great video production knowledge.
Hollywood Level: $100,000 and above.
This is the crème da la crème of video production. The gold standard, best of the best, talent, crew, and resources.
It’s best to fill out the questionnaire and schedule a consult with us to provide you an accurate quote.
It depends on the type of project. Some projects can take a week or less, and some projects can take 6 weeks to 3 months and even longer. Here’s a couple of examples of ball park ranges for different types of video:
Live Event Recap: 1-day shoot. 1-2-week turnaround. Corporate explainer video 6-8 weeks from concept to deliverable.
Music Video: Average, semi-pro level music video can take 3 shoot days or less. 2-week turnaround. Higher end music video averages 1-2 week of shoot days, 4-week turnaround. The same variation can go for Commercials.
Narratives: Shorts, 1 to 3 months for prep + shoot, 1 to 3 months for turnaround.
Features can be 3 to 6 months shoots, 6 months to 1-year turnaround. As previously stated, length can vary greatly. Every project is unique. Fill out the questionnaire and schedule a consult to get a quote for your project.
Generally, the production process can be divided into three stages and look as follows:
Pre-Production
Brainstorming, conceptualizing, planning, scriptwriting, scheduling, scouting, crewing up (hiring). This stage here is where we develop our game plan and come up with the video’s blueprint.
Production
Lights, camera, action, its go time! This part is the shooting or filming part of the process. This is where we capture the action with the cameras. This is 1/2 of the execution of the game plan.
Post-Production
Edit Time! This is the other half of the execution. This is where we bring it all together , assemble the clips, and add all our finishing touches to the mix.
It varies from 4 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 or more. It depends on the game-plan, or the script. We like to keep our days to 10 hours or less. However there are project types that may require longer, like that of a feature length film. Or less, like shooting two interviews (3-6 hours). But a shoot schedule for a corporate video shot at the client’s location and featuring testimonials may look something like this:
- 7:00a – Crew call time at Equipment Staging location; load and leave.
- 8:00a-9:30a – Crew arrives at client location; unloads and sets up
- 9:30a-10:15a – Shoot first interview
- 10:15a-11:00a – Shoot second interview
- 11:00a-12:00p – Shoot b-roll/cover footage
- 12:00p-1:00p – Lunch
- 1:00-2:00p – Shoot b-roll/cover footage
- 2:00p-2:30p – Set up for new interview look
- 2:30p-3:30p – Shoot third interview (primary interview)
- 3:30p-4:15p – Shoot fourth interview
- 4:15p-5:00p – Wrap; break down gear; dump, backup and inventory footage
We can give you a better sense of what your shoot days might look like once we learn about your project. Fill out questionnaire and schedule a consult.

With the advent of the social media boom and the advancement of film equipment technology, the definition of “commercial” has become a little confusing. Generally, a Commercial video is a type of advertisement produced for Television that comes at a higher price tag, a larger film crew, the need for permits, and a bigger production overall. Commercials can range from $5,000 to $500,000, and in some cases a lot more.
We tend to identify projects with the same goal of producing an advertisement, but have a budget under $5,000, as promotional videos, and a smaller project with limited resources. But really, it’s a matter of semantics at this point, because an advertisement can be considered promotional content as well!
Truth is, all brands need commercials. It’s just a matter of your budget and what level your commercial should be produced at. If you want your commercial to fit in with the aesthetics of a super bowl commercial then that’s the higher end of the spectrum. If you have a smaller budget and simply want to advertise on social media we can accommodate, but just manage your expectations accordingly. To figure out how much a commercial will cost you let's set up a consult.
Corporate videos are usually in-house videos to be used for internal purposes. They come in many different flavors. It can be an explainer videos, training videos, company culture videos, company policy videos, and videos along the lines of this nature. Customer testimonials can be corporate video as well, usually once a company wants to advertise to the public we venture off into the “Commercial” video sector.
No, not at all. We understand that sometimes the need for a video is clear, but the exact content or concept of the video is not. That’s where we come in. We have systems and processes in place to help us understand you, your audience and what you need to say. It is all part of the pre-production planning process and we never rush this important idea development stage. Our creative team will develop concepts and invite you to explore different options for your video. It is very much a collaborative process between you and us. We will work together to deliver a video that will have a positive impact on your brand.
